A monumental building, punctuated by columns depicting Socrates, Plato, and Pythagoras. The villa takes its name from an ancient elm grove. The first building dates back to the 12th century. The current villa was built in 1790 and was a private residence until 1925, when it was acquired by the Municipality of Como. It is now a museum.
