The first building dates back to 1827-29, while the current villa was built around 1906.
In the second half of the 20th century, the villa's state of decay was reduced. It was restored in 2010 and transformed into a luxury hotel, the Casta Diva 7 Star. It is now the Mandarin Hotel.
